A formal process exists if one wishes to apply for training and possible future membership. It must be noted that our coven is not always able to take new students and a screening process is also undertaken. The reason for this is that in working magically with others it is important to have people who are conducive to maintaining a close, safe and supportive environment.Applicants must have positive intentions, be sincere and feel a calling to the Old Religion and the Magical Arts. If you are interested in participating in training and possibly working towards initiation you may send a detailed e-mail to:
In the email please include information about:
- how long you have been interested in Wicca, Magic, and Paganism,
- what books you have read,
- why you want to join a coven
- and any other information that you feel is relevant to your application for training.
After we have received an enquiry we usually talk to the applicant on the phone and possibly arrange further meetings with members of our coven.
The minimum age for someone to be initiated into our coven (and any traditional coven) is 18 years of age. A 17 year old applicant may however in some circumstances commence a training programme and attend monthly training classes, but initiation and participation in coven ritual may not generally be done until the applicant is 18 years of age.
No time-wasters please. But for those who genuinely seek to learn and practice Wicca and can commit time, energy, and hard work we look forward to your email. Yes there is also a lot of fun and laughter and friendship in a coven...but it is always a balance between mirth and reverence.
